VenturaFixedGear.com originates from an idea by Ciclofficine Ventura, a quality workshop in the heart of Trani, a well-known town in Puglia. Ciclofficine Ventura promotes, also through venturafixedgear.com - the online store specialized in fixed-gear bikes or fixies - a trend already successful abroad that redesigns the concept of bikes and modifies the relationship between man and machine: fixed bikes, fixies, track bikes are different names with which modern urban riders identify fixed-gear bicycles with no freewheel mechanism, where the drive sprocket or cog is threaded or bolted directly to the hub of the back wheel, so that the pedals are directly coupled to the wheel. They are dynamic and lightweight bikes that often make their design and beauty their strength: colourful frames, essential lines, vintage hints.

Many times people tell me they bought their first bike at my granfather’s. Maybe that’s where my passion for wire wheels comes from. I can list a different bike for any period of my life: from the BMX of my 7th year old birthday, to the extreme last one bought; from the "postman" bike for my long gone Roman bike rides, to the fixed-gear bike of my 30th year old birthday... each of them severely customized by myself! Hence the idea of creating a space where to sew customized bicycles as a tailor would do with dresses. I design bike models with you and manufacture hand-made bicycles that suit your personality using high quality products; I am constantly searching for useful and original accessories and spare parts to give new life to your old bike. Not to mention the "old loves" that can not be missed in my BMX workshop and skateboard for the lovers of the extreme.

The essential lines that characterize Ciclofficine Ventura’s bycicles reflect the old essence of these means of transport which, like the "New York bike messenger", are fast, practical and comfortable in city traffic, avoiding queues at traffic lights, useless and exhausting car park searches, but also romantic mates of walks in couple, alone or with other people who are fond of taking their rides in the fastest Criterium circuits, always in the lead!! What else? I just want to share my dream with anyone who is a bike passionate, with those who love to flaunt a unique piece on the road or, why not, to show it in the living room… that’s what I did myself!
